Reasoning with Sequences of Point Events

چکیده
We propose to model recurring events as multipoint events by extending Vilain and Kautz’s point algebra [7]. We then propose an exact algorithm based on van Beek’s exact algorithm) forfinding feasi 6 le relations for multi-point event networks. The complexity of our method is compared with previously known results both for recurring and non-recurring events. We identify the special cases for which our multi-point based algorithm can find exact solution. Finally, we summarise our paper with brief discussion on ongoing and future research.

The Effect of Teaching Clinical Reasoning on Critical Thinking of Undergraduate Nursing Students Taking the Course of Emergency Nursing in Disasters and Events: A Preliminary Study
Introduction: In the education of medical sciences- e g, nursing, the main goal is to train students who can make the best decisions with high thinking skills (critical thinking), integrating information, and using sound clinical reasoning while relying on evidence. Objectives: The current study aimed at investigating the effect of teaching clinical reasoning on the critical thinking skill of u...
متن کاملFixed Point Results on $b$-Metric Space via Picard Sequences and $b$-Simulation Functions
In a recent paper, Khojasteh emph{et al.} [F. Khojasteh, S. Shukla, S. Radenovi'c, A new approach to the study of fixed point theorems via simulation functions, Filomat, 29 (2015), 1189-–1194] presented a new class of simulation functions, say $mathcal{Z}$-contractions, with unifying power over known contractive conditions in the literature. Following this line of research, we extend and ...
متن کاملIterative scheme based on boundary point method for common fixed point of strongly nonexpansive sequences
Let $C$ be a nonempty closed convex subset of a real Hilbert space $H$. Let ${S_n}$ and ${T_n}$ be sequences of nonexpansive self-mappings of $C$, where one of them is a strongly nonexpansive sequence. K. Aoyama and Y. Kimura introduced the iteration process $x_{n+1}=beta_nx_n+(1-beta_n)S_n(alpha_nu+(1-alpha_n)T_nx_n)$ for finding the common fixed point of ${S_n}$ and ${T_n}$, where $uin C$ is ...
متن کاملCross-Cultural Differences in Mental Representations of Time: Evidence From an Implicit Nonlinguistic Task
Across cultures people construct spatial representations of time. However, the particular spatial layouts created to represent time may differ across cultures. This paper examines whether people automatically access and use culturally specific spatial representations when reasoning about time. In Experiment 1, we asked Hebrew and English speakers to arrange pictures depicting temporal sequences...
متن کاملL2 Teachers’ Representations of Classroom Management Events: Variations across Experience Levels
Knowledge representation, defined as the way individuals structure their knowledge and cognitive processing of events and the associated sense-making processes, is believed to influence teachers’ reasoning/thinking skills. While extensively researched in mainstream teacher education, this line of inquiry is essentially lacking in the L2 teacher education literature. To fill some of the void, th...
